Frequently asked questions

Where should I download IRS forms?

Only from IRS.gov. Third-party sites sometimes host outdated versions. Each link above goes to the IRS 'About' page, which always points to the current revision and instructions.

Which form does my business file?

It depends on how the business is taxed: sole proprietors and single-member LLCs usually file Schedule C with their Form 1040, partnerships and multi-member LLCs file Form 1065, S corporations file Form 1120-S, and C corporations file Form 1120.

Can I get prior-year forms?

Yes. IRS.gov keeps prior-year forms and instructions. Amended returns use the form for the year being corrected.

Do I need to send forms to the firm?

Clients generally do not fill out IRS forms themselves. Send us your source documents through the secure organizer and we prepare the forms.
