Frequently asked questions

Where do I download Georgia forms?

From the Georgia Department of Revenue's forms library, linked below. The DOR encourages electronic filing, and most forms can be filed through the Georgia Tax Center instead of on paper.

Do I need a Georgia Tax Center account?

You can file and pay without one, but an account lets you view your refund, past payments, and any letters in one place. Business owners generally need one for sales and withholding tax.

What is the Georgia income tax rate?

Georgia uses a flat rate of 4.99% for 2026. See the Tax Rates page for the state standard deduction and the prior-year rate.

I work in Georgia but live in another state. Which forms apply?

Nonresidents with Georgia-source income generally file Form 500 with the nonresident schedule and claim a credit in their home state. This is a common situation for our metro Atlanta clients and worth reviewing with a CPA.
